Week four of my 90 Day workout journey.
It’s week four of my 90 day workout journey. Twenty eight days down and sixty two to go. So I am one month in and working out every day is starting to feel like a new regular part of my daily routine. I was a little under the weather in the first part of the week, so I didn’t go to boxing class as much as I wanted to. But I still went to the regular gym and worked out.
I have discovered that burpees really aren’t that bad, once you get used to it. And my planks are getting stronger every time I do them. It’s amazing how strengthening your core makes such a difference not only your overall strength but also in how you carry yourself. I feel like I am standing taller then I have before. And at 5’5″, every little bit helps.
The lactic acid build up in my legs is getting better over time as well. (Lactic acid build up is a burning feeling in your muscles, they can be accompanied by cramps, nausea, weakness, and exhaustion.) I no longer feel the fatigue as I am using the elliptical and I can go for a longer amount of time.
What did I eat this week?
This week was the week of bacon. I ate a lot of it. And I enjoyed every last bite. I have to say that I never get tired of bacon. I also had a few meals with spinach, and one with avocado. The rest of my meals consisted of hamburger in various ways and pork chops.
I did OMAD about half the week and had two meals the other half of the week. I did not drink any sparkling water this week. Instead, I had iced coffee, regular water and several kinds of herbal tea. I will be starting next week with a two day fast.
Weight loss – Zero as far as the scale is concerned. But my clothes tell a different story. I was going through the clothes in my closet and apparently I have just zoomed past a lot of what I thought I was going to wear next. Which is a huge NSV. Lucky for me I was kind of a pack rat when it comes to clothes, so I still have stuff to wear without buying anything new yet. Honestly, it’s a pretty big thrill to try on something that was tight before that I now can’t wear because it’s too big.
Stamina – A big increase. The struggle to fight through the time on the elliptical is over. I feel like I can go further and faster.
Injuries – None. Just normal soreness.
Strength improvement – I know for a fact I am stronger. I can see it in the every day things I do. I tell you what, there isn’t a pickle jar out there that stands a chance against me.
Sleep – My sleep has improved in a big way. I started staying up a bit later to make sure I am as tired as I can be before I go to bed and it working well for me.
Goals for next week – Get back on track with my boxing classes and add a little yoga to my weekly workout.
Week four of my 90 day workout journey was even better than last week. If you are joining me on this journey, you got this! If you are cheering me on from the sidelines, I appreciate your support.
